Exclusive members’ event: The Samurai : Fine Japanese arms and armour

As part of our “exclusive members” events, we are delighted to send you the invitation from the directors of Sotheby's to the opening of the exhibition The Samurai : Fine Japanese arms and armour on Wednesday 30 March at 6:15 pm (Rue François-Diday 2 – 1204 Geneva)  We will be welcomed by Mrs Stéphanie Schleining, Director of the Fine Arts Department. Then we will have the privilege of a guided tour, in English, commented by Mr Mark Hinton, Specialist and Director of the Japanese Arts Department.


Philanthropy Lunch : Foundations and copyright – issues and risks

In Switzerland, there are numerous artists' foundations whose purpose is to manage their work, as well as, more generally, foundations involved in the cultural field. Some of them hold copyright which may generate important revenues. However, the holding of such rights by a foundation involves challenges and risks. Indeed, not only do these foundations often act as a gatekeeper to the market of the artist concerned, as abuses can be numerous, but they also carry out multiple activities to make his work known and to spread its influence. Insofar as these foundations are tax-exempt, they are nevertheless limited in their ability to engage in profit-making activities. This Philanthropy Lunch aims to examine the practical and legal issues facing copyright foundations.


The Art Market in Action! RAM Annual Conference

This hybrid format conference will provide an opportunity to discover the work of a group of experts in the field, including a series of guidelines in the form of a practical guide. Following their presentation, several intermediaries will implement these guidelines by analysing a practical case study. The conference will also address the sustainability of the art market, exploring possible ways to reduce its carbon footprint.

You will have the opportunity to discover the world of Chu Teh-Chun through the immersive installation imagined by Christophe Fonseca, to discover the exhibition “draw the line” which brings together the works of ten artists and to watch the documentary dedicated to Chu Teh-Chun’s life and work.


Exclusive members’ event | Art Paris

We are pleased to invite you to the first “exclusive members event” of the fall season, for an exceptional VIP visit of Art Paris at the Grand Palais Éphémère, Champ-de-Mars, Plateau Joffre, 75007 Paris on Saturday 11 September 2021 We will be welcomed at 10:30 am by Mrs Béatrice Guesnet-Micheli, VIP Relations Manager, and Mr Guillaume Piens, Fair Director. Then we will have the privilege of a private guided tour accompanied by an expert of the Observatory of contemporary art. Please note that the presentation will last 45 minutes and will be in French. At the entrance you will receive a “Prestige” pass, valid for two people for the entire duration of the fair.
