Appropriation in digital art

Artists often use the works of others to create their own works. The act of appropriation has therefore long been a fascinating and controversial topic in art law. However, AI has intensified this phenomenon even further. It is therefore high time for a closer look at this exciting interface between art, law and digitalisation.

We will examine the phenomenon from the perspective of the market, the industry, and the law (copyright, trade mark and unfair competition law) with Nicolas Galley, Annatina Menn, Jann Jenatsch and Adrian Kuenzler.
