Espace Muraille welcomes our members for a guided tour of the exhibition “Voyage, voyage, des aucubas aux dames de nage” of works by Marc Couturier. The tour will be led by Béatrice Guesnet-Micheli, curator of the show.

About the artist:

Marc Émile Léon Couturier was born in Mirebeau-sur-Bèze, near Dijon (Burgundy), in France. He lives and works in Paris.
“Marc Couturier is a psychic. Due to this, he does not necessarily see the same things as we do. The immediacy of signs fails to grasp his interest. He recognizes things, but more importantly, he perceives others. He has the ability to discern other senses, other affiliations, other presences in what is ordinary life to our eyes. Incidentally, he does not look for things for themselves or for what they may produce, but for the irrational, unexpected elements they deliver, the glow and the shadows they cast. He is concerned with something beyond their appearance. He is an unrivaled investigator, who only sees what he seeks, and finds it without fail in the proliferation, regardless how extreme, in which he likes to dwell.”
